What a momentous day – the day the British people set about hobbling their rights to move and trade and live as a part of the great European experiment. In November 2015 I (Robert) became a British Citizen, after being a resident for more than 12 years. The EU referendum was the first major thing I was able to vote on. Perhaps if I had known this was coming I would have spent that £1000 on something else. And the march last Saturday? Apparently that meant nothing. It was ignored by the news and will soon be forgotten, just like my rights as a European Citizen.
